Recognized Testing Laboratories - RTLs
Laboratories Used by WQA for Product Certification
The Water Quality Association's Gold Seal Certification Program uses more than one laboratory to conduct testing of products from companies seeking certification. WQA's owns and operates a state of the art laboratory that is used by many companies to test products seeking certification but also allows the use of Recognized Testing Laboratories (RTLs) for product testing.
RTLs have been established for many reasons but the most important reason is to provide flexibility for companies seeking certification. WQA understands that industry recognized laboratories have been developed to conduct specialized testing for water treatment products. Through WQA's laboratory recognition program all laboratories that meet WQA's RTL requirements can be used to test products for WQA Certification. Their test data will be considered equivalent to WQA's own laboratory testing.
