CERTIFIED DRINKING WATER TREATMENT UNITS
WQA/ASPE/ANSI S-803 - 2017: Sustainable Drinking Water Treatment Systems
Show Description
This section of the directory lists those drinking water treatment units which have been WQA certified in accordance with "WQA/ASPE/ANSI S-803 (2017): Sustainable Drinking Water Treatment Systems," and is published periodically by the Water Quality Association (WQA), as a service to the industry and consumers. This certification means that production of the listed line of drinking water treatment units was audited and evaluated by the Water Quality Association, and was found to have met the voluntary industry standard, WQA/ASPE/ANSI S-803 (2017). As a prerequisite, the listed product must also first be certified to the applicable NSF/ANSI or WQA safety/performance standard (e.g. NSF/ANSI 42). In addition, the corporate management system and facilities where the product is manufactured must be evaluated as conforming to the prerequisite standard "WQA S-801: Sustainable Management."
The scope of this standard includes the following types of end-use applications: gravity/batch systems (e.g. pitchers), shower filters plumbed-in or faucet-mounted Point-of-Use [POU] systems, Point-of-Entry [POE] systems, commercial/industrial systems, and components such as filter cartridges, filter housings, tanks, valves and fittings, etc.
The Replacement Components found under each listed line for a complete system are also covered under this sustainability designation, even when sold separately from the complete system.
Stand-alone components certified for Sustainability Attributes may also be included in these listings. However, because these components are incapable of functioning without the use of additional components or by being placed into a complete system, WQA makes no representation regarding any performance claims that may or may not be found in the product literature, and such claims shall not be considered certified by WQA.
In any and all cases where performance claims are made for complete systems, WQA makes no representation regarding the veracity of these claims, outside of those claims which are certified by WQA under the applicable NSF/ANSI or WQA safety/performance standards (e.g. NSF/ANSI 42). Please see the applicable listing under these additional standards for an enumeration of WQA certified claims. WQA also makes no representation regarding performance claims listed under additional standards by certifying bodies other than WQA.
The WQA is a not-for-profit international association of manufacturers, distributors, and dealers of water treatment systems for household, commercial, municipal and industrial applications. This on-line directory is continuously updated to identify those water treatment equipment products that have passed rigorous industry standards to become certified by the Water Quality Association.
