Notice of 2022 Annual Meeting of the Members of the Water Quality Association

The 2022 Annual Meeting of the members of Water Quality Association, an Illinois not-for-profit organization, will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 3 p.m. ET for the following purposes:

1.  To elect directors

2.  To transact such other business as properly may come before the meeting.

In connection with the election of Directors, below is the slate of nominees presented by the Nominating Committee.  If you are unable to attend the meeting, please complete the proxy form and return to the WQA offices so that it will be received prior to April 1, 2022.

Douglas Anderson
Culligan International Company (Rosemont, IL)

Douglas Anderson has spent more than 25 years leading teams to develop new products in a variety of industries. He now serves as Senior Director, Global Engineering and R&D at Culligan International Company, where he is responsible for new product development and sustaining engineering, regulatory certification and industry affairs, and the hydraulics and analytical chemistry laboratories.  Doug holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering, is Six Sigma+Lean Black Belt certified, and holds over 15 patents. He has been active in the industry for nearly a decade, serving in leadership or membership positions on a number of committees and task forces with WQA, WQRF and other water treatment industry groups. He was a 2021 recipient of the WQA Award of Merit.

Judd Larned
Culligan International Company (Rosemont, IL)

Judd Larned has been President of the Culligan Business in North America since 2015.  His business supports the product development, manufacturing, marketing and distribution of Culligan products through, and in collaboration with, the Culligan Dealer network.  Prior to this role, he has had responsibilities within Culligan supporting global strategy, business development and driving growth in emerging markets.  Judd came to Culligan from Bain & Company in 2013, where he was a management consultant for almost 15 years.  He has an MBA from Duke and a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Michigan. He was elected to WQA’s Board of Directors in 2019 and currently serves on the Board of Governors as secretary.

Don Line
Aqua Systems/Hellenbrand (Avon, IN)

Don Line was president of Aqua Systems/Hellenbrand from 2004 to 2021 and currently serves as President of Water Treatment for Franklin Electric, which bought Aqua Systems/Hellenbrand last year. His involvement with WQA goes back more than 20 years, during which time his company was a WQA premier member and donor to the Water Quality Research Foundation. Don has regularly attended the annual convention and supported the association with volunteer work. He says he enjoys working in water quality, “because we get to help people find a solution to improve something that is one of the most critical elements to their quality of life.” Don is a graduate of the Indiana University Kelly School of Business.

Amanda Moore, CWS
Atlantic Filter Corporation (West Palm Beach, FL)

Amanda Moore, CWS, Vice President of Atlantic Filter Corporation, joined her family water treatment business after graduating from Vanderbilt University. She is a Certified Water Specialist and the third generation of her family in the industry. Amanda served as President of the Florida Water Quality Association in 2018 and remains actively involved with the regional association. She was elected to the  WQA Board of Directors in 2019 and currently is treasurer, serving on the Board of Governors. Amanda was a founding member of WQA’s Women in Industry (WIN) Advisory Council and serves as a mentor to other women in the industry. She has been honored with two WQA leadership awards: the Next Gen Award in 207 and the Key Award in 2021.

Toby Thomas
Kinetico Incorporated (Newbury, OH)

Toby Thomas has been President and CEO of Kinetico Incorporated since 2012, after joining the company in 2009 as its Chief Marketing Officer. Previously he was a Senior Partner at Monitor Group, a leading global strategy and growth consulting firm, and he started his career as a New Products Process Engineer with Frito-Lay. Toby has a B.S. in chemical engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He previously served on the Queen’s University Board of Trustees. He was elected to the WQA Board of Directors in 2012 and held several offices as a member of the Board of Governors, leading to his service as WQA President the past year.

Mark Campbell
Primo Water North America (Atlanta, GA)

Mark Anthony Campbell currently serves as Senior Vice President, Revenue Officer at Primo Water North America, a leading direct-to-consumer bottled water and water filtration services provider. Mr. Campbell joined the company in 2004 and has served in various leadership roles, including Vice President, Business Development & International Sales, Vice President, Marketing and Vice President, Sales & Marketing.  Prior to joining Primo, he held various sales and marketing roles with consumer packaged goods companies, including The Kellogg Company, The Keebler Company and PepsiCo. Mr. Campbell is a member of the National Automatic Merchandising Association and the International Bottled Water Association, in addition to the Water Quality Association. He has served on the WQA Board of Directors since 2019.

Jeffrey Hill
Robert B. Hill Co. (Minneapolis, MN)

Jeffrey Hill has been in the water treatment industry for 50 years. He is former owner of Robert B. Hill Co., a family business in Minneapolis, and remains on staff as a trainer and water conditioning engineer.  Jeff earned a BA in Chemistry and was involved in environmental water treatment for a decade, establishing the CarbonAir Services company, before joining the family firm. Jeff is on the Board of Directors of Minnesota Water Quality Association, has served as MWQA President and was a Minnesota Governor's appointment to the Plumbing Advisory Board. He holds a Minnesota Small Systems Operator Certificate.  He has served on WQA’s board of directors since 2016.

Ken Steitz, MWS, CI
EcoWater of Central California (Fresno, CA)

Ken Steitz, MWS, CI, is the President of Eco Water of Central California. He is a past President and current Board member of the Pacific Water Quality Association and serves as an Executive Board member of the Better Business Bureau of Central California. Ken earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and journalism from the University of Hawaii, Manoa, and worked as a state legislative aid and a mortgage officer before entering the water treatment industry. He served on the Fresno (CA) City Council from 1997 to 2001. In addition to his WQA professional certifications, he holds a C-55 Contractors License in California.  Ken has served on various WQA committees, including being vice chair of the events committee, and joined the WQA Board of Directors to fill a mid-term vacancy in 2021.
