The Water Quality Association is committed to hosting the safest possible event for attendees and exhibitors in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and will follow all safety measures based on the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization as well as local government requirements and guidance.

People planning to attend the 2022 Convention & Exposition in person will be required to sign WQA's COVID Policy Release upon registration, acknowledging that:

  • All attendees will be required to wear face coverings at all times, except when actively eating or drinking
  • Social distancing, also called physical distancing, will be observed
  • Other preventative actions, such as frequent handwashing, will be observed
  • Registrants will not attend if they:
    • Are exhibiting signs of COVID-19 or have exhibited them in the previous 14 days
    • Believe they have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious
  • All in-person participants, exhibitors and vendors are to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and to contact WQA if experiencing symptoms or testing positive within 14 days of attending the convention

More details can be found in  WQA's COVID Policy Release.  The policies are subject to change if CDC, WHO, or local policies change, so potential attendees should check here for up-to-date information. Major policy changes will be communicated to registrants as they are made.
