CREATE THE VISION

"Leadership Lessons: Articulate Your Passion"
Candice Wentling, MWS, Certified Action

If you think your employees don't care about your business as much as you do, then this session is for you! Often, organizational growth happens at a speed that causes leaders to adapt and react as they go, which means that vital foundational matters are not developed, discussed or relayed effectively. Give yourself the time to rewind, reset and reignite your passion for your business in a way that can be emulated by your staff.

Candice Wentling is director of Certified Action, a business advisement and training company, and has been conducting sales training, field coaching and leadership accountability seminars for the last 13 years. Her degrees in Business and Social Work lend well to leadership and employee engagement.  Within the water treatment industry, Candice has extensive field sales experience, has organized training programs, conducted regional workshops, worked directly with on-boarding and training of new sales representatives, and became a Master Water Specialist and Presenter with the Water Quality Association. She is best known for her ability to connect management with their salespeople in a candid and energetic manner.

"How to Onboard your Employees: Training Materials, Teaching Professionalism"
Doug Ramer, MWS, CWR, Martin Water Conditioning

This session will show you how to promote vision for a culture of professionalism in our companies and reduce the "Hire-Train-Leave" phenomenon so prevalent in business today. Participants will experience the step-by-step process of orientation, on-boarding and continuous training. Because every business is different, the participants will be able to customize their processes for a simple and bite-sized rollout. Trainers are a critical ingredient in the longevity of professionalism, and this session will help identify trainers and how to support them.

Doug Ramer is a leader at Martin Water Conditioning of Myerstown, Pa., since 1980, having served in many roles, most recently as general management of 370+ employees. Doug helped lead the company to the position of #1 Kinetico dealership in the U.S. for more than 10 years. Doug earned his first WQA certification in 1992 and currently holds MWS & CWR certifications. He has helped more than 40 employees maintain their water treatment education and WQA certifications.
