Educational Tracks

WQA offers the following five learning tracks to accommodate the needs of all types of attendees.

Water Treatment Basics

The Water Treatment Basics track is ideal for anyone new to water treatment or in need of a review of introductory concepts. Participants will learn about common waterborne contaminants, installing equipment according to basic codes, and several types of common treatment technologies.

Residential Applications & Regulatory Matters

The Residential Applications & Regulatory Matters track offers an in-depth investigation of the trends and technologies at the forefront of residential water treatment. Participants will learn about innovative advancements in electrochemical water treatment, ion exchange and water conservation. This track will also discuss regional (within the U.S.) variances in water problems and their solutions along with updates on key regulatory changes that will affect our industry.

Commercial Applications

The Commercial Applications track is designed to help learners better understand the specific needs of various sub-sectors of the commercial water treatment market, including beverage service, agricultural and carwash usages. The Commercial Applications track also features a behind-the-scenes tour of the water technology behind La Reve–The Dream, a theatrical performance that takes place in a 1.1-million-gallon tank.

Process Water Applications

The Process Water Applications track is designed to build the learners technical capabilities to pursue the "middle market" between commercial and heavy-industrial applications. We will cover such topics as reverse osmosis system design, water reuse in beverage manufacturing, and plumbing and instrumentation diagrams. From microfiltration to analytical instrumentation, we have the technical side of process water covered.

Business Operations & Management

The Business Operations & Management track offers the information and techniques to help water treatment industry professionals improve work performance and grow their business. We'll discuss a variety of relevant topics including marketing, sales and business ethics, while providing practical solutions to increase your overall efficiency on the job. This track is an absolute "must" for dealer companies with limited experience in the water treatment marketplace.
