The Water Quality Association today reminded school districts to take steps to test for lead in their drinking water to keep children safe as they head back to school this fall. Studies indicate lead is an ongoing concern for many school districts across the country because of corrosion from aging infrastructure.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) requires community water systems (those serving more than 25 people or 15 households) to issue a CCR every year by July 1st.
