LISLE, Ill. – The Water Quality Association (WQA) has named Scott Parker as its new Associate Executive Director, a role that will allow him to expand upon his experience in membership and business development as well as events and marketing.
“We’re delighted that Scott has joined WQA,” said Deputy Executive Director Pauli Undesser. “Scott is an innovative, collaborative, results‐oriented leader with over 15 years of senior level experience in management, business development and working with nonprofit boards.”
In his role with WQA, Parker leads the marketing and communications, business development, events and membership teams. Parker has held senior roles in marketing, meetings/events and member services with both trade and professional associations.
“This is an exciting opportunity,” said Parker. “I look forward to working with our members and partners in the water treatment industry at a time when clean drinking water is such an important issue facing homes and businesses across the United States and internationally, as well.”
Prior to WQA he served as the Director of Membership and Career Services at APICS – an association representing the supply chain and logistics industries. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an MBA from DePaul University and is also a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
WQA is a not-for-profit trade association representing the residential, commercial, and industrial water treatment industry.
