WQA activates crisis response blog
Flood Resources provide help in wake of Hurricane Florence
LISLE, Ill. (Sept. 13, 2018) – The Water Quality Association has activated its crisis response blog (response.wqa.org) to assist members and the public with frequent updates about the aftermath of Hurricane Florence and the impact of severe flooding on water supplies.
“We wanted to make sure members as well as residents have access to the WQA resources about how water quality can be affected by flooding,” said WQA Executive Director Pauli Undesser. “We also want to keep people informed about what our members are doing to help in the recovery efforts.”
The new blog will post videos, podcasts, news releases and photos along with news headlines. The information will be linked from social media posts on WQA’s Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter pages. A WQA Flood Resources page is also available.
WQA is a not-for-profit trade association representing the residential, commercial, and industrial water treatment industry. Since 1959, the WQA Gold Seal certification program has been certifying products that contribute to the safe consumption of water. The WQA Gold Seal program is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Standards Council of Canada (SCC).
