One-day pass offers taste of 2020 WQA Convention
Allows access to education sessions, trade show on Friday, April 3
LISLE, Ill. (Feb. 18, 2020) – A Friday-only 2020 WQA Convention and Exposition pass offers access to morning education sessions and the trade show on the final day of the April 1-3 event in Orlando, FL. The pass, available for Friday, April 3, allows flexibility for those unable to attend all three days of the water treatment industry’s signature event.
The pass, which is $95 for WQA members or $195 for non-members, offers full access to all convention events occurring on Friday, April 3. The exhibition opens at 9 a.m. that day with coffee and sweets served on the show floor, and runs for five full hours, until 2 p.m.
The pass can be used for a variety of experiences:
- A water treatment dealer could attend an 8 a.m. education session (either “Service Sells” or “Differentiating Between Residential, Commercial and Industrial Applications”), participate in the Dealer Section meeting at 9 a.m., take the Clack Valve Teardown/Rebuild lesson in the Learning Lab, and explore the trade show to see the latest in water treatment technology and services.
- Someone interested in the water technology research could attend the 8 a.m. Research Committee meeting, the 9 a.m. “WEP Center Advancements in Water Technology Research,” the 10:30 a.m. Water Sciences Committee meeting, then hit the trade show to see what’s new in the industry. Registering for the WQRF Run, Walk or Relay for Research at 6:30 a.m. Friday would jump start the day while benefitting the Water Quality Research Foundation.
A WQA-certified professional hoping for some Continuing Professional Development credit could earn 0.3 CPD in the morning by attending three of the four sessions offering credit. In the afternoon, the professional could visit the exposition, or sit for a certification exam from 1 to 4 p.m. (the exam fee is extra, but discounted, at convention), or participate in one of two technical workshops from 1 to 5 p.m. to pick up 0.4 more CPD (at an additional registration cost).
Visit the convention registration pagefor more information on the Friday pass, the extra events, or to register for the entire convention. Those who attend the full convention receive two more days of education sessions, committee and section meetings; are invited to the Welcome Reception; and can experience the Opening General Session, which features industry outlooks, leadership awards and a keynote speech by influencer Simon T. Bailey.
More than 3,000 dealers, manufacturers and consultants attend the annual convention, which this year has the theme “Vision 20/20.” See wqa.org/convention for full details.
