Water Quality Association issues statement on proposed PFAS legislation
LISLE, Ill. (March 13, 2020) – The Water Quality Association today released the following statement on proposed legislation by U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH):
“The Water Quality Association applauds the leadership that Senator Jeanne Shaheen has demonstrated during her Senate career to ensure that all Americans have access to clean drinking water. We welcome her most recent legislative initiative, the Providing Financial Assistance to States (PFAS) for Testing and Treatment Act, to address per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) contamination, which will be introduced shortly.
“We look forward to working with the senator as the bill moves through the legislative process in order to maximize the efficacy of the legislation, particularly as it pertains to point-of-use and point-of-entry certified treatment technologies that are available for immediate deployment.”
